Tresa Motors, a leading OEM manufacturer of medium and heavy electric trucks in India, plans to establish state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D facilities. The company said it is evaluating potential locations in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for these facilities.

The company’s focus remains within the medium-to-heavy electric vehicle segment. It has no plans to enter the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market, the company said in a media release

Tresa Motors is also recruiting over 100 professionals with focus on attracting top talents from major industry giants such as Daimler, Tata, Volvo and other OEMs over the next 6-9 months to fortify its senior and mid-level engineering team.

With the new hiring the organization’s workforce will increase to over150, reinforcing its commitment to spearheading the transformation of India’s electric trucking industry. It is also a step towards achieving the expansion goals and bolstering leadership in the market, the company said.

Tresa Motors unveiled its pioneering electric truck, the Model V0.0, on July 3, 2023 and V0.1 on September 7, 2023. In September 2023, Tresa Motors also introduced the FLUX 350, a cutting-edge platform which incorporates a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Axial Flux Motor, offering an exceptional torque-to-weight ratio and efficient power delivery, ideally suited for heavy-duty applications like electric trucks, the company said in a media release
